Faq About Motorcycle Headlight Wiring

James asks…

Motorcycle Wiring Question?

I have a 1999 Kawasaki KE100 that I'm rebuilding, is there a way to get rid of all the wiring except for the CDI box and headlight?

I do NOT need the turn signals, brake lights (have battery-powered ones), keyed ignition, indicator lights, speedometer light or any of the switches.

All I need is the CDI box and headlamp powered directly by the engine, and I do NOT need a headlight switch either- always on is okay.

How would I do this?
To below answerer: Thanks, I could do that- though if anyone has a wiring diagram is would help.

I need to keep the wiring ridiculously simple, planning on taking it on a trip to the middle of nowhere where it will be beat up and likely need repairs. I've also stripped the frame of everything but the necessities.

Unplug the lights you dont need..trace the wires back & cut them off.

But why use batteries when you can use the bike to power them???

I have a 1974 Honda CB360 that I am bobbing. Anyone know where I can get simple wiring diagrams?

All I want is a kill switch, headlight, and brake lights. Anyone know a website with simple wiring diagrams for this motorcycle?

Motorcycle Store Staff answers:

Google search it.

I work on old hondas for a living. I have never NOT found a wiring diagram by a simple google search.

Good luck fixing it up.

Look, i just found this on google. Took me 0.8 seconds (according to google)
