- How do I install a clutch lever on my 1996 Harley Softail?
Is this something the average hack can do in a relatively short time?
A if memory serves.... you unbolt the switch housing clamp with a torx bit, and then there is a c clip to take off, and a small little shaft slides out. cable end will have a piece that may be able to fall off when you take it out, so don't lose it. reverse order for reassembly

- my front brake on my harley wont work if you squeeze the lever slow, but fast and it does? any help please?
it has dual front brakes, i took it to a local shop and had them bleed the front system. he says it must be something in the front control. can i clean that? are do i need a new front brake cylinder. and what is the problem?

Has the master cylinder or calipers ever been rebuilt? "Local Shop"....independant or dealership? Do you know WHAT type of brake fluid they used and have you ever added brake fluid, if so, what type? It DOES sound like you need to rebuild the master cylinder at minimum, but I need the info above to fully help you....
