- How do I change an after market HARLEY seat to the original solo saddle?
I'm about to purchase an '08 electride police special that comes with an after market dual seat installed. Included in the purchase price is the stock solo saddle and I'm wondering how much work it will be to change it over.
A well, most Harley seat changes are super easy. You take out the screw holding the seat back to the fender, lift the back of the seat, and slide the front of the seat out of the bracket. The new one goes in just as easy. There should be 2 holes, one for a solo seat, one for a 2-up seat. You may want to buy a replacement plug for the back hole to cover it up, I would imagine about a dollar at the Harley shop.

I love the original solo seat on the FLHPI (Harley Davidson Road King Police Issue). BUT, I need a passenger pillion and sissy bar for the few times my wife does want to ride along. I'm having trouble finding a passenger seat that allows me to keep the solo seat as well. Its an 01 FLHPI. Any suggestions?
