- Anyone know where I can find used Harley parts?
Looking for good used or rebuildable parts for a '79 H-D FLH restoration project. Any ideas besides e-bay? to jack f, I used to live in Austin, and I have been to Bud's many times, but that was a different time and a different bike. Don't like buying parts sight unseen, and I had one or two minor issues with some of Bud's staff.
A They do have salvage yards for mtorcycles, but for what you have , it will be difficult. I would consult a local HD dealer and ask them to point you in the right direction. Most dealers have a lot of customers that do the same as you in restoring, wouldnt be very hard to find someone that can help you out. HD guys are very helpful.

I have a HD softail and headlamp that are very gently used. I would rather sell them locally than list them online because of the shipping costs for these heavier items. If I take it to a Harley Davidson dealership with a service department, will they consider buying the parts from me? Is there anything I need if they do buy used parts? Thanks!
A No. The only time I know a dealer will want an old part is if you order a limited edition replacement part. Then they insist the old one be returned.
