- Honda motorcycle break light won't turn off?
My husband has a CBR600 and the break light work turn off, it runs steady. I worry because other drivers don't know when he is really breaking. We have checked the fuses and the light, both are working properly. The light will dim and get bright when we hooked it up to another bike to test it. Friends are telling us that it is a sensor. Where could this be? Is this an easy fix or will it be costly? Any ideas are appreciated! Thanks!
A There should be a small switch somewhere that turns the light on when pressed, or released. Look around the mechanical parts of the brake system for a small switch. On a car, it is located under the dash and is activated when the brake pedal arm moves away from it. I think it would be a similar rig on a bike. The ones on the car have an adjustment to physically adjust the position of the switch so it lights at the right time. It could be the bike has the same adjustment, and it has vibrated loose. If so, it may just need to be readjusted to the right position and tightened down.

- Why won't my Honda motorcycle brake lights come on?
I have a 2006 CBR RR 1000 motorcycle whose brake lights will not come on. I purchased the upper brake switch but have not not put it on yet. I am hesitant as the brake light don't work with the foot brake either. HELP! The light stays on but does NOT get bright when engaged!
A Get a voltmeter and check the light assembly and wiring first. EDIT - I think it may be wired up the wrong way round. To check, if you turn the lights off and press the brake does it light up? If so you need to swap around the wires.
