Im looking into getting some full shirt armor for myself, im stuck weither to get the armor which includes, chest, shoulders, elbows and back all connecting by a fish net like thing, it looks like a cyborg with a cool spin going up the back. OR a motorcycle jacket with the CE armor in it as well. I live pretty close to LA and its HOT! always, So im debating on which to get, Opinions please. ALSO if i do get the armor, will i get made fun of or something, ever seen people walking around with it on? what kinda looks do you get lol. Opinions please.

- Does anyone know of motorcycle torso armor thats not overwhelmingly hot?
I plan on getting a motorcycle, but know how dangerous they can be. I want to prepare by getting good torso armor, but i live in Arizona, and our summers can top out as high as even 115 degrees. Can someone help me find some very 'breathable' armor for the heat? I'm looking to keep the price within 400 dollars, and as protective as possible.
A Well. Another zonie. I use a 'combination' strategy. I start with long sleeve synthetic 'moisture wicking' fabric (I use Nike Pro Combat). When it's really hot, I use a 'hydration vest' that you soak with water and it releases it pretty slow. Then a mesh jacket on top. This year I will try a solid jacket that I have carefully gutted everything out of except the armor and the pockets for the armor. I have had friends tell me that combination is cooler than my mesh. I don't know, but I've been riding with my system for 5 years or better... First link is the jacket I ride, sort of. Mine is about 6 years old. Second link is a page full of vests. I won't recommend one, because I'm not REAL happy with mine http://motorcyclebackroads.com/
