FAQ - Customer Questions - Motorcycle Gear Bag Reviews
- What do you do with your motorcycle gear when you get to your destination?
So I plan on getting a motorcycle and using it every day to commute to the college I'm going to. I also planning on fully protecting myself with the right, boots, pants, jacket, gloves, helmet, etc. My question is: what do people do with their gear once they get to their destination? I don't want to walk around in that all day, every day. I was thinking I could get saddlebags to carry my books, normal shoes, etc. and also wear a backpack, then when I get to my destination I could put the books, etc. in my backpack, take my motorcycle gear off (wearing my normal clothes underneath), and then put the motorcycle gear in the saddle bags. Is this what is generally done? Are there saddlebags with locks?
A College should have lockers where you can keep your gear during the day. Or you could ask the janitor (or a friendly lecturer) if you can leave stuff in his/her office or a cupboard. I ride to the office and leave my stuff under my desk. But that may not be possible for you as you will be walking between classes I imagine. You can always chain your helmet to your bike, there are cables on sale for this specific purpose. Also, textile gear will fold easier into a rucksack than leather. Hope this is of some help!
